Verbal description for the blind and visually impaired

The means by which the blind and visually impaired can get a sense of contemporary ‘visual’ art is a precise description of each artwork. Five guides have taken a course in ‘verbal description’ and are happy to take groups round the ongoing exhibitions. Guide dogs are welcome too. If so desired, we can meet you at an agreed bus stop or at Sint-Pietersstation.

  • Options: 1. general introduction - 2. one or more specific exhibitions
  • Number: max. 5 people per guide
  • Price for guide: €50 per guide

Guided tours for the mentally disabled

This interactive guided tour is adapted to each group. Depending on what is desired, a specific approach can be taken to the works in the tour. The artworks are the focus, but they can be viewed in the light of a particular theme. Everyone experiences an artwork in their own way. By means of challenging tasks, each person looks actively at the art both as an individual and as a member of the group.
