Philippe Van Snick
dynamic project toont het veelomvattende oeuvre van Philippe van Snick (Gent, 1946 – Brussel, 2019) via sculpturen, installaties, foto's, video's, schilderijen, tekeningen, maquettes en edities. De tentoonstelling is opgevat als een cirkel waarin de worsteling van de kunstenaar met de complexiteit van het leven en de wereld centraal staat. Ze is als een muzikale suite, vertolkt door sleutelwerken en minder bekende werken die met elkaar vibreren, de verklanking van een oeuvre dat elke categorisering tart.

Rose Wylie (b.1934, Hythe, UK) is an internationally renowned figurative painter whose extensive oeuvre is inspired by a wide range of sources including literature, cinema, folklore, mythology and celebrity culture. In her signature vivid, cartoonish style she interweaves her vast knowledge of cultural production with observations and memories, thus enriching the perceptual experience with affective and allusive associations that further resonate into the richly applied oil paint of her canvasses. This is Wylie’s first solo exhibition in Belgium. The selection comprises a serie of new works.
