Art connects people, and gets them talking. Not everyone understands art and culture, yet art can be meaningful for everyone. S.M.A.K. is bringing a hard-to-reach audience into contact with art and artists. Together with various partners we are developing a series of suitable projects. Here you will find a list of workshops, guided tours and studio sessions that were specially created for a diverse public.
S.M.A.K. engages more than just art fanatics. We are working hard to make exhibitions more accessible for a hard-to-reach audience: refugees, prisoners, young people, people with dementia, the blind and visually impaired, and our elderly citizens. With a few nudges, we are attempting to get something moving in various groups. In this way art can make a social impact.
As the result of close collaboration with various partners and organisations – businesses, care institutions, cultural educational institutions and schools – methods have been developed to enable an enriching exchange between the work of the artist and the world of the public.
