Together - Collaborative Art Practices

Deze collectietentoonstelling daagt de mythe van de solitaire kunstenaar uit en onderzoekt de unieke dynamiek van collectieve creativiteit en hoe deze de artistieke productie beïnvloedt.

Private Passion X Public Duty. Hoet & Matthys-Colle: Through Collectors' Eyes

Tien jaar na het overlijden van Jan Hoet, oprichter van S.M.A.K., onderzoekt deze collectietentoonstelling de gelijkenissen en verschillen tussen Hoets aankoopbeleid en dat van verzamelaarskoppel Roger en Hilda Matthys-Colle. Dr. Roger Matthys was een van de oprichters van het V.M.H.K., de voorloper van S.M.A.K.

This exhibition aims to illuminate the diverse landscape of collaborative art practices and challenge the prevailing narrative of the individual artist.

Private Passion X Public Duty. Hoet & Matthys-Colle: Through Collectors' Eyes

Ten years after the death of Jan Hoet, founder of S.M.A.K., this collection exhibition explores the similarities and differences between Hoet's acquisition policy and that of collector couple Roger and Hilda Matthys-Colle. Dr Roger Matthys was one of the founders of the V.M.H.K., the predecessor of S.M.A.K.
