Beste kunstenaars,
Zoals jullie al weten organiseert S.M.A.K. op vrijdag 10 oktober 2025 het evenement On Painting: Talks by Day, Performances by Night, een speciaal evenement in het kader van de tentoonstelling Painting After Painting. On Painting brengt curatoren, critici en kunstenaars samen om stil te staan bij de huidige staat van de schilderkunst, aan de hand van lezingen, discussies en performances.
Het symposium in de namiddag is inmiddels volzet, maar vanaf 19u30 zijn jullie van harte welkom voor de performances van onder meer Vincent Geyskens, William Ludwig Lutgens, Victoria Palacios, Dieter Durinck, Matthieu Ronsse, Karel Thienpont en Louise Delanghe. We nodigen jullie allen graag met een plus one uit om deze avond gratis bij te wonen. Hiervoor hoeven jullie niet online in te schrijven: aan de balie zal een lijst liggen met de namen van alle kunstenaars om jullie de avond zelf aan te melden.

Dear artists,
As you already know, on Friday 10 October 2025 S.M.A.K. hosts On Painting: Talks by Day, Performances by Night, a special event in the framework of the exhibition Painting After Painting. On Painting brings together curators, critics and artists to reflect on the current state of painting through lectures, discussions and performances.
The afternoon symposium is now fully booked, but from 7:30 pm onwards you are warmly invited to attend the performances by, among others, Vincent Geyskens, William Ludwig Lutgens, Victoria Palacios, Dieter Durinck, Matthieu Ronsse, Karel Thienpont and Louise Delanghe. You are most welcome to join us with a plus one and attend this evening free of charge. No online registration is required: at the reception desk there will be a list with the names of all participating artists, where you can check in upon arrival.

Comme annoncé précédemment, le vendredi 10 octobre 2025, S.M.A.K. organise On Painting: Talks by Day, Performances by Night, un événement spécial dans le cadre de l’exposition Painting After Painting. On Painting réunit des commissaires, des critiques et des artistes afin de réfléchir à l’état actuel de la peinture à travers des conférences, des discussions et des performances.
Le symposium de l’après-midi est désormais complet, mais à partir de 19h30 vous êtes cordialement invité·e·s à assister aux performances de, entre autres, Vincent Geyskens, William Ludwig Lutgens, Victoria Palacios, Dieter Durinck, Matthieu Ronsse, Karel Thienpont et Louise Delanghe. Vous êtes chaleureusement invité·e·s, avec un·e invité·e de votre choix, à participer gratuitement à cette soirée. Aucune inscription en ligne n’est nécessaire : une liste reprenant les noms de tou·t·e·s les artistes sera disponible à l’accueil pour vous enregistrer le soir même.
