Nocturne: Film Panamarenko - Citadelic Jazz - 06.02.2020

Panamarenko

  • 20h - GLiTS (BE) - Bart Maris (trumpet), Peter Vandenberghe (piano)
GLiTS, short for Getting Lost In Tiny Spaces is the art of loosing yourselves in small sound spaces. Peter Vandenberghe and Bart Maris, brother in arms for over 25 years in larger outfits as X-Legged Sally or Flat Earth Society, put for some years now their enthusiasm towards this adventure as a duo. They research the sound pallet and always changing sound scapes with direct musical dialogue through compositions by Bart and lots of improvised work.
  • 21h - PETER HERTMANS QUINTET (BE/NL/CZ) CD release 'Live at Dommelhof' - Peter Hertmans (guitar), Steven Delannoye (saxes), Nicola Andrioli (piano), Jos Machtel (double bass), Marek Parman (drums) Guitarist Peter Hertmans is an established name on the Belgian jazz scene, shining on stages with the most diverse artists national and internationally and regularly collaborates with the Brussels Jazz Orchestra. For this quintet he surrounds himself with his favorite musicians. Think of the beautiful sound, the vivid imagination but also the craftsmanship of Steven Delannoye on saxophone, the refined piano playing of Nicola Andrioli, perhaps better known for his work with Philip Catherine, the calming double bass and experience of Jos Machtel and the melodic harmonious drumming by Marek Patrman.
