How do you come up with an interesting image? What techniques can you use to translate a small image to a larger scale? How can you as an individual contribute to a collective result? In this workshop with artist Han Coussement, you will invent an image together with the other participants. You then translate that image into an XL painting.
Han Coussement is a painter fascinated by the interaction between painting on canvas and in public spaces. In his work, he experiments with different formats, locations and techniques.
The world of painting opened up to Han when he was arrested for spraying graffiti. He had to find a way of working that did not earn him fines and clean-up work. In studying painting, he found that freedom.
