Getting there
S.M.A.K. is easy to get to, both from the city centre and from the station.
On foot
- 10-minute walk from station Gent Sint-Pieters
- 25-minute walk from the Korenmarkt in the city centre.
By public transport
- Come by train and plan your route via NMBS
- Come by bus via De Lijn.
- You can plan your entire route using Google Maps.
By taxi
- On www.elektrischetaxis.be you can find all Ghent taxi companies that offer electric taxis.
- There is a taxi-rank just next to the main entrance to Sint-Pietersstation, Gent Dampoort station and Korenmarkt.

By car
- Leave the E17 motorway at the turn-off for ‘Gent Centrum’ and follow ‘Alle Richtingen’. Turn left towards the Citadellaan and continue until you reach Jan Hoetplein. The S.M.A.K. is opposite the Museum of Fine Arts.
- There is plenty of parking space in front of the museum. The museum is located outside the ring road, so there is no need to take into account LEZ (Low Emission Zone) or the circulation plan.
