The guides will lead you around the current exhibition:
- The collection exhibition: Private Passion Public Duty: Hoet & Matthys-Colle
- The group exhibition Painting After Painting, which focuses on contemporary painting in Belgium. It features the work of 74 artists. For this exhibition, S.M.A.K. is exceptionally offering two types of guided tour for adults:
- 1.5-hour guided tour of the exhibition
- 2-hour guided tour with creative workshop
Guided tour for adults

A museum guide will lead you through the exhibition. During a fascinating walking-talk, you get to know one or more temporary exhibitions and go deeper into the themes that the artists bring up.
- Choose: general introduction OR specific exhibition(s) - please note this in the 'comment' section of the web form.
- Max. 15pp/guide.
- Duration: ca. 1,5 hour.
- Languages: Dutch, French, English, German.
- Price: 100 euro /guide + admission ticket.
- Group visits are possible during opening hours except on Sundays from 10:00 to 14:00.

Coming as a group without a guide? Please let us know! For a free visit with your own guide, we charge 15 euros speaking fee.
The Atelier

During the Painting After Painting exhibition (April – November 2025), S.M.A.K. transforms Room 1 into the Atelier. Inspired by the medium of painting and the works of the 74 painters, groups can express their creativity during a guided, interactive workshop, combined with an inspirational tour of the exhibition.
