The British pop artist Allen Jones is chiefly known for his paintings, sculptures and lithographs. Everyday subjects such as buses and planes played a starring role in his early work. The early 1960s saw him switch to sexually-charged themes that became increasingly explicit. Jones continued to work as an artist until the 2000s. At the end of his career he was predominately producing large steel sculptures.
