Jennifer Allora and Guillermo Calzadilla have worked together as an artist duo since 1995. Their artistic output spans sculpture, photography, performance, sound and video art. In their strongly socially and politically inspired work, they critically portray issues surrounding globalisation. They themselves do not consider their art anti-globalist. However, they do strive for a different idea of globalisation that responds to a new way of looking at and dealing with the world. With humour, the artists try, without putting too much into perspective, to make the seriousness of their subject somewhat digestible for us.
