Rosalind Nashashibi (b. 1973, UK) and Lucy Skaer (b. 1975, UK) work as independent artists but have also shared a practice under the name Nashashibi/Skaer since 2005. Their joint work consists mainly of 16mm films that touch on a range of contemporary themes, using art, artists, people and places that interest them.

Why Are you Angry?', their most recent film project, explores the way Paul Gauguin portrays Polynesian women. The film premiered at Documenta 14 (2017) and was part of their retrospective for Tate St. Ives (2018). In the exhibition for S.M.A.K., Nashashibi/Skaer show existing and new work, both from their individual and their joint practice.
