Valerio Adami is a world-famous pop artist. He studied in Milan and worked in London and Paris, amongst other cities. Adami developed a highly recognisable, figurative and cartoonesque painting style in which the line plays an essential role. His paintings are underpinned by stylised line drawings. The artist completes these with fields of bright, saturated, solid colour. Adami’s works are inspired by everyday, often domestic reality, but are not faithful representations, partially due to the idiosyncratic way with which he plays with perspective.
