'The Aeromodeller' by Panamarenko is one of the largest and most famous works in the S.M.A.K. collection.
Over the past few months the conservation department at S.M.A.K. has been restoring this icon of contemporary Belgian art. However, in order to complete the restoration it was necessary to find a location where the balloon could be inflated to its full size. The last stage of the restoration will therefore take place in the Dominican church in the Holstraat in Ghent as from March 2005.
