Poetry book 'Onder de olijfbomen van Lesbos' (Under the olive trees of Lesbos) by Inge Braeckman

Lesbos

In May 2018, poet Inge Braeckman spent a week as a volunteer in various Greek reception camps for asylum seekers.

Her stay in a number of notorious refugee camps on Lesbos resulted in a new series of poems. These poems were collected in the book 'Onder de olijfbomen van Lesbos' (Under the olive trees of Lesbos), in collaboration with S.M.A.K.

The book was presented in the museum on World Refugee Day on 20 June 2019 where Braeckman shared her experiences about the trip. She also read some of the poems. This special book is for sale through the bookshop.
