Isabelle Cordemans ( °1966, Antwerp, Belgium) studied painting both in Belgium and Italy. Geographically she travels between Belgium and the United States, in her artistic practice she is mainly guided by photography and collage. Isabelle Cordemans is fascinated by the coincidental coming together of objects, people and animals. Registering these presences, framing them in time and space and processing them into a layered image, makes the difference between a story that can be recorded and told or a fleeting event.
