Flags by refugees | I wish I was my own country so I could be home anywhere

86 flags were made by refugees on different locations in the presence of 15 Belgian youths when they met along the borders of Europe. 

During the Road Of Change project, 15 young people travelled along the borders of Europe to meet refugees, at the invitation of Vluchtelingenwerk Vlaanderen. During a mini-workshop they made a personal flag together. The refugees were asked to name three core values that they find important in life and to associate a colour and a shape to these. Afterwards, they made a composition for a personal flag based on these colours. On the basis of these sketches, graphic artist Edouard Schneider made the final design for the flags representing universal themes such as love, peace, compassion, family, education and home.

The proceeds from the sale of these flags will go to Vluchtelingenwerk Vlaanderen.
