Heritage Day 2023 in S.M.A.K.

At S.M.A.K., we will celebrate tomorrow's heritage on Sunday, April 23. The theme of Heritage Day this year is Beastly! With us, you can choose between three activities. Want to get creative with the whole family? Then there is the Beastly Art Matinee. For the little ones, there is a Beastly Story Trail. You will also explore ecological themes in Rose Wylie's works of art together with our guide.

Beastly Art Matinee for families

Put on your horns and make your own antlers like artist Berlinde De Bruyckere. Like Portuguese dancer Romeu Runa, you will dance through the museum halls afterwards.

Beastly Story Trail for children

Slither through the museum rooms like a snake and discover together the beastly stories in the artworks.

Guided introductory tour for adults in Rose Wylie

Walk with our guide and discover how British artist Rose Wylie incorporates ecological themes into her art. You will view the exhibition 'picky people notice...,' from a new angle.
