During 10 years of S.M.A.K. Moves, we give various partners the space to show their work, plan activities or use the museum as their temporary workplace.
Light Sensitivity brings together two types of sensitivity: the light sensitivity of photography and the emotional sensitivity of people. Since 2017, S.M.A.K. Moves and mentormentor have been working together with three psychiatric hospitals. In four-week programmes, participants set out with a simple camera. They observe, experiment, discuss images, and gradually discover their own visual language. The project is always based on equality, trust, and encounter.
In The Spotlight shows a selection of previous results, images that testify to attention, imagination and a surprising view of the world. At the same time, a new programme is starting in this space. Week after week, the walls are filled with new photographs, taken in and around S.M.A.K. In this way, the presentation continues to grow, like a living exhibition.
Mentormentor offers professional support in the artistic practice of photographers through personalised programmes. Through reviews, programmes and masterclasses, mentormentor helps to guide the direction of an exhibition, publication or the start of a new project. In addition, the organisation regularly offers opportunities to show work to an audience.
It not only focuses on ambitious photographers, but also collaborates with partners on activities of social importance.
