De Batterie is a participatory art practice that develops long-term artistic projects in Flanders and Brussels. It gives a voice to children, young people and adults from a wide variety of backgrounds, offering them a platform through art to interact with the environment in which they live.
iTube is a project where the virtual and real worlds merge. The youngsters experimented with photography, screen printing, audio, image manipulation and VJ-ing. This installation is the result. 50 people create a subjective portrait of each other based on a limited social media profile. What info do we include in our imaging?
