On Thursday 6 March 2025, S.M.A.K. and the other Ghent museums will keep their doors open until 22:00. Come along for an evening visit to the ongoing exhibitions and a bite to eat at the Wilde Weide.
We take you through the world of modern alchemist Joris Van de Moortel in HELL ON EARTH, in search of PUR, NUR and FUR.
A S.M.A.K. guide will take you through the exhibitions. The focus here is on the exhibitions on the first floor: HELL ON EARTH by Joris Van de Moortel, Tsai Ming-liang's Walker Series and the collection exhibitions PRESENTS and TOGETHER.
That evening, S.M.A.K. transforms one of the museum rooms into an exclusive setting for a live concert by Amatorski.
Miniature installations by artist Winnie Claessens are developed into a scenography by Lucas Van Haesbroeck and interwoven with the music of Amatorski.
The live performance explores the new album Curves and Bends, Things Veer in a spatial way and sets out on a unique quest between man, nature, technology and phenomena.

A number of exhibitions will close their doors on 9 March. Even without a guide, you can still visit the exhibitions that evening: HELL ON EARTH by Joris Van de Moortel, our collection exhibitions Together - Collaborative Art Practices and PRESENTS - private donations to S.M.A.K.
Unwind with Tsai Ming-liang's Walker Series, a series of ten films made by the Taiwanese director between 2012 and 2023.
Afterwards, you can enjoy a drink and/or snack in De Wilde Weide.
