On Thursday 1 April 2021 both S.M.A.K. and MSK Gent remain open until 22:00. You can view different exhibitions and enjoy a quiet journey at a safe distance from your fellow visitors.
In 'A Short Long History' Anna Boghiguian sketches passages from the history of the Ghent cotton industry and artist duo Denicolai & Provoost show 'HELLO, ARE WE IN THE SHOW?' (2019), a recent animated film with small events in the Sonian forest. In 'Timelapse', Oliver Laric approaches form as a process of continuous change. His new video digitally portrays the transformation of living organisms.
Work from the permanent collection of S.M.A.K. is shown in 'Why Are You Angry', a selection of recent acquisitions. Great American Nude #45' by Tom Wesselman, from the Matthys-Colle collection, is the starting point of a small presentation on the cooperation between S.M.A.K. and the Matthys-Colle Foundation.
