The third edition of Art Antwerp, the contemporary art fair organised by Art Brussels, will take place from Thursday 14 to Sunday 17 December 2023 at Antwerp Expo. This year, the fair welcomes 72 participating galleries from 12 different countries. The list of participants includes established galleries as well as young and emerging ones. Half of the participating galleries are from Belgium, 16 of them from Antwerp itself, while the other half, a total of 37 galleries, come from abroad. As a result, the fair's DNA remains international yet strongly locally rooted.

Art Antwerp launched its first edition in December 2021, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Last year, during its second edition, Art Antwerp flourished with some 12,000 visitors. The fair then positioned itself as a fixture on the Belgian contemporary art calendar and has since been able to count on the support of main partners Delen Private Bank and Bank Van Breda. Moreover, Antwerp's rich artistic heritage and lively contemporary art scene make it the ideal host city for this emerging art fair.

The fair distinguishes itself by providing a platform for contemporary art galleries to showcase a diverse selection of established and emerging artists. Unlike larger art fairs, Art Antwerp offers a more intimate environment where enthusiasts and collectors can discover art and engage in personal and informal interactions with the gallery owners. This setting encourages meaningful conversations and connections between visitors and participants. Art Antwerp presents itself as an ambitious, small-scale contemporary art fair and an important player in the city of Antwerp.
"We are delighted to announce the long-awaited return of Art Antwerp and its third edition. This edition promises to be an even bigger and more international experience for art lovers and collectors alike, with several emerging, young international galleries participating for the first time. After last year's resounding success, the committee is committed to once again presenting the best of contemporary art in an environment that combines the intimacy of a boutique fair with a broader global perspective."
