Week of the Belgian Museums: Open Atelier & Painting safari
On Sunday 18 May, you will not experience an average Sunday at S.M.A.K. To celebrate the end of Belgian Museum Week, we will open the museum's doors for a special afternoon for all ages.
Open Atelier
continuously from 10:00 to 18:00
Step inside ‘the Atelier’ and help paint a large collective work of art. No rules, no set form – just the desire to create something together.
Painting safari
at 13:00 and 15:30 (lasts 2 hours)
Take the whole family on a guided tour of Citadelpark. Look closely, see what you might otherwise miss, and be inspired by nature. Then get to work on your own work of art.

- Registration and sign-up for the painting safari is required via reservation@smak.be (free with S.M.A.K. admission ticket or for Museumpass holders). Please indicate how many family members will be participating.
Picnic with museum café Wilde Weide
Time for a break? Picnic baskets are available for a relaxing break. Enjoy each other's company on the grass or simply inside if the weather is bad.
