Peter Downsbrough (New Brunswick, N.J., U.S.A.) is based in Brussels since 1989. In his study of the relationship between space and language he has broadened the spectrum of minimal and conceptual art. Using a much-simplified visual language, consisting of black letters and lines, he makes us aware of perspective in interior and exterior spaces. His visual language permeates installations, photographs, drawings, adapted postcards and artists’ books.
