Ollie on canvas: this was Skate & Create ‘25

Skate03

From 14 April to 18 April, 20 teenagers learned how to skate (even better) during the SKATE & CREATE Easter camp, and they learned all kinds of things about art and (skate) culture.

Together with skater Matthias from KAPOW and S.M.A.K. guide Omar Pluymers, they spent a whole week on the road. Every day they skated, and in the pavilion of Nico Dockx (once a pro skater himself, together with Ed Templeton), they got creative with paint, photography, skateboarding tricks and art, with the help of real experts and inspired by the paintings from Painting After Painting.

KAPOW is a melting pot of skateboarding, art and music. It's a place where talent, audiences, creators and the neighbourhood can grow together and grow individually.
