‘Friends of the S.M.A.K. Prize | Coming People’ is a biennial competition for young artists who have just graduated from one of the Belgian art colleges.
It remains a difficult task for recent graduates to move into the art field. By presenting the work of promising young Belgian art graduates to a broad audience, ‘Friends of the S.M.A.K. Prize | Coming People 2016’ aims to build a bridge between the colleges and the professional world.
The selected artists will expose their work in a group exhibition at S.M.A.K. The opening is 25 June 2016. Then the jury will choose a winner from the works submitted to the exhibition, who will then receive the ‘Friends of the S.M.A.K. Prize’: € 5.000 and membership of the Friends of the S.M.A.K.
The selection of the artists is done by an international jury.

Did you graduate from a fine art course (painting, sculpture, image and installation, textile design, photography, multimedia design etc.) at a Belgian art college in the academic years 2013-14 or 2014-15?
