In the 'Little Catalogue of the S.M.A.K. Collection', works of art have been collected that were selected among others by young S.M.A.K. visitors between 4 and 14 years old (pupils of the method school De Buurt in Ghent). They chose the works of art that they thought were most special, interesting, sensitive, confusing, beautiful, inspiring and so much more. From the collection of more than 3000 works, 150 wondrous works of art have been given a place in the Little Catalogue. In this book with the most beautiful images, you can browse from A(bramovic) to Z(orio). Look and read! Read and look! Do this together with dad, mum, brother, sister, grandma and grandpa - and become True Art Experts together...
The 'Little Catalogue of the Collection of S.M.A.K.' is a first cultural product in the cooperation between ‘Ampersand, spreek jij beeld?’ | Kunstkuur-project, school De Buurt, DKO and S.M.A.K.
This book fits perfectly within the theme 'What does art do?' of this year's Jeugboekenmaand (Youth Book Month), an initiative of Iedereen Leest.
