During the exhibition Gerhard Richter | About Painting S.M.A.K. and Herbert Foundation are organizing lectures to enlighten the work of Richter.

Dietmar Elger is the director of the Gerhard Richter Archiv in Dresden. Taking as a starting point a 1967 photo of the four artists Gerhard Richter, Konrad Lueg, Blinky Palermo and Sigmar Polke, he discusses Richter’s relationship with the others, which at that time was changing.
