Because of COVID-19 measures, it was not possible to start a new project during the March 2020 lockdown and the months of May and June 2020. When the residents were still unable to go on outings in early July, we took the decision to run the course at the hospital.
After an introduction to Kris Martin's work and the themes, the participants went on their own inspired journey for four weeks. During a weekly workshop, participants reflected on their own work together with Lisa van Damme and Anja Hellebaut and came up with their own series of photos. You can see a selection of the results below.
In September 2020, a new installment of the series of photography workshops will start with the residents of the Dr Guislain Hospital. The participants will be inspired by the exhibitions and get to work with photography themselves for four weeks. Each week, they meet with mentor photographers to talk about their work. After four weeks, all participants will have realised their own photo series. In collaboration with Dr Guislain and mentor mentor.
