Have you graduated in Fine Arts at a Belgian art college at the end of the academic years 2017-2018 or 2018-2019? Then S.M.A.K. invites you to participate at the ‘Prize of the Friends of S.M.A.K. | Coming People 2020’. The 5 finalists of the competition exhibit their work in the museum this summer. The winner receives €5 000.

Calling all Liberal arts students graduating from a Belgian art college during the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 academic years. If you are interested in participating in the 'Friends of S.M.A.K. Prize | Coming People 2020' competition, please send us your portfolio. The requirements that have to be met are listed below.
- A portfolio in PDF format (max. 65 MB and max. 15 pages) consisting of:
- 15 to 20 images of different works with an accompanying technical data sheet
- (format, material, date, (duration), possible context description,...).
- Preferably a group of works illustrating the development of your artistic career over the past 2 to 3 years.
- For video material: link to vimeo.com (max. 5 videos)
- General description of the work (max. 20 lines)
- CV with exhibitions, residencies, prizes/awards,...
- Catalogue texts, recommendations and other text material about the work (optional, max. 3 pages)
- Contact details: E-mail address, mobile number and Skype details
- A copy of your identity card and Master's degree certificate
Please be sure to respect these criteria, as a portfolio that does not meet the guidelines will not be accepted. The portfolio must be sent via WeTransfer.com to prijsvandevrienden@smak.be by 08 March 2020 at the latest.
