Call for stories: Were you there in ’86?

"Albrecht Dürer would certainly have come, but were you there?" This spring, we are celebrating 40 years of Chambres d'Amis with an exhibition looking back at this special project. For that, we need your help!

Did you visit the 51 different houses in Ghent between 21.Jun.86 and 21.Sep.86 and do you still have any photos, negatives, slides, Polaroids, 35mm films, 16mm films, Super 8, … in short, any visual material from that time? Or do you have a special anecdote you’d like to share? Fill in the form and tell us your story. Who knows, your image might soon be part of the exhibition at S.M.A.K. and you might be invited to the birthday party on 21 June 2026.
