For the young people, visiting the exhibition was their first introduction to contemporary art. Based on their own interests, a workshop process was then launched in which the youngsters could express their views on the exhibition.
Under the guidance of visual artist and musician Boris Zeebroek, the youngsters worked with all kinds of different drawing techniques that were eventually incorporated into a long stop-motion animatie. At first hesitantly but later with more aptitude, they experimented with pencil, chalk and collage that were put into motion through stop-motion. Accompanied by Ghent rapper Froze (Rauw & Onbesproken), the youngsters also recorded a rap in a professional studio as musical support for their project. A special music video was edited to accompany this rap.
On 2 February 2016, the animation film and the music video were presented at S.M.A.K. during a festive show moment in the presence of the pupils and with a performance by rappers Froze and Raab of the Ghent collective Rauw & Onbesproken.

The CLW is a school for part-time vocational education. Young people attend school a few days a week and work for a boss the rest of the time. They are trained at the CLW to become forklift drivers, independent cooks, bricklayers or hairdressers, and the school supervises their first steps into the labour market.
S.M.A.K. realised this project with the support of Electrabel. Based on their social commitment, S.M.A.K. and Electrabel want to introduce vulnerable young people, who usually have little affinity with culture, to contemporary art. By working intensively with these young people, they get the chance to develop themselves in other areas besides their vocational training.
The whole process was/is being followed by REC Radiocentrum in the form of a mini-docu containing interviews with the young people about their experience of the project.
