Subba

ft. Planningtorock + Benjamin Abel Meirhaeghe + Bolt Ruin + Vodka Candy

Back by popular demand! Planningtorock has been blasting out left-field dance gems since 2006 and has shown her ability to combine pop-oriented music with a political message. For Subbacultcha at S.M.A.K. Jam Rostron is preparing a brand new visual show with new music from her Powerhouse album.

Next we have Benjamin Abel Meirhaeghe, performer and contratenor, who confronts his demons on stage in a combination of classical and contemporary arts.

Also performing is Bolt Ruin, who paints beautiful landscapes with his brooding tunes and is celebrating his first release.

The Vodka Candy girls, seven young female Ghent-based painters, join forces with a spatial intervention. Last year Jasmien Bursali, Helena Ceuppens, Alix De Jonge, Celeste Mattot, Niloufar Nematollahi, Louise Souvagie and Stans Vrijsen joined forces to found Vodka Candy, a bimonthly magazine in which they showcase works that did not end up on a canvas, but which are undeniably vital elements within their painterly practice.
