VANEYCK 14 421x600

During the exhibition ‘Van Eyck. An Optical Revolution’ at MSK, the car park for both museums will be closed to the general public.

The MSK expects to receive some 250,000 visitors and the car parks will be used to house a shuttle point, a taxi rank, additional parking spaces for the disabled, and an extended bike park.

How to reach S.M.A.K.

on foot

  • The museum is 10 minutes’ walk from Sint-Pietersstation. Follow the route through the Citadel Park, though in the dark it is better to go around the park.

by bicycle

  • There are plenty of bicycle racks at the museum, but be sure to lock your bike! Mark out your best route using fietsrouteplanner.gentfietst.be. You can also rent a Blue-bike at Sint-Pietersstation.

by car

  • The museums are accessible by car via the Charles de Kerchovelaan and the E17 and E40 motorways. We are located just outside the LEZ (Low Emission Zone).
  • There is only limited parking available in the local area. At busy times, you are advised to park in the P10 Sint-Pietersplein underground car park (within the LEZ zone), a 10-minute walk away.
