Halfway through your visit to our large scale exhibition on contemporary painting, you'll come across Emmanuelle Quertain's 'My address'. The installation consists of 467 meticulously aquarel-painted frames from different online videos, and can be seen as a portrait of the artist’s IP address. Through this, Emmanuelle also captures a subjective vision of the large amount of online media we digest daily. We recently sat down with her to talk about privacy, our (algorithm-made) online identity, and the abundance of imagery and its toll on our attention span. Here's the result.
