For the 'Eyeliner' project, the artists selected objects they found on Ghent windowsills during a number of city walks. With the consent of the owners, the objects were made available on loan for this temporary setup in the museum.
During the exhibition at S.M.A.K., the window sills were labelled: "The object usually shown behind this window has been loaned for another exhibition, in S.M.A.K., from 12 February to 30 May 2021. Our apologies for the inconvenience."
Soon all objects will reappear behind their original windows, but thanks to the catalogue of 'Eyeliner' you can continue to visit them in the city. All the addresses, names of the owners and their biographies are described in this catalogue. The booklet is for sale in the S.M.A.K. bookshop for 5 euros.
