The youngsters from Brake-out have been in S.M.A.K. for the past month and will show their work on 26, 27 and 29 June 2021.

Brake-Out is a three-year talent programme for young adults with a mental disability, autism spectrum disorder or non-congenital brain injury. During one month, the young people thought about questions such as 'what are my talents?', 'what makes me unique?', 'how can I use my strengths in society?'.

These themes form the thread of the exhibition that you can visit on 26, 27 or 29 June 2021. The students were given a blank exhibition room by the S.M.A.K. They divided it into thirteen sections. They divided it into thirteen separate works of art in which each participant puts their talent in the spotlight. They also show the process of each participant in the form of a collective, interactive work of art.

Podcast walk about world citizenship in the Citadel Park

In addition to the exhibition, Brake-outers are also planning a walking route through the Citadel Park, in which the young people will address the theme of world citizenship. On the route, visitors can scan QR codes and listen to podcasts or watch videos on the themes of equality, the environment, peace and citizenship. For this part, Brake-Out cooperated with the youth media agency StampMedia, which recorded audio and video fragments together with the young people.
