In Ghent, various players organise a book festival with lectures, workshops and signing sessions. In S.M.A.K. various activities take place.
Against the current, S.M.A.K. first produced a book - the 'Little Catalogue of the S.M.A.K. Collection' - and then an exhibition, that can now be seen in the museum.
Like the book, The Exhibition was put together with a young audience. The fact that more than 350 children and young people are in full charge is unique in the museum world. The entire first floor is taken up by 80 of the 150 works of art in the catalogue. The exhibition is about looking at and experiencing art.
