From 2 September to 24 October 2021, S.M.A.K. will host an audio-art exhibition by Logos, the Flemish research and production centre for experimental music.

The Logos Foundation is a professional artistic organisation founded by Godfried-Willem Raes. Since 1968 it focuses on the promotion of new musics and audio related arts by means of new music production, concerts, performances, composition, technological research projects and other contemporary music related activities.

The exhibition shows a selection of the eighty music robots who perform regularly as a robot orchestra at the Logos Tetrahedron in Ghent.

The exhibition consists of two parts. During the month of September you can get acquainted with the automata and the music robots of the Logos Foundation. On 2 September, during our nocturne, the sound installations will be activated by Moniek Darge and the designer. The public is also invited to interact with this musical toy for young and old.

The second part, during the month of October, presents the work of Moniek Darge: Sound paintings, water transparents and music boxes in dialogue with vases from the museum collection.
