NL – Pfannenmüller is gefascineerd door de manier waarop de mens omgevingen creëert waarin hij zich veilig voelt. In zijn werk denkt de kunstenaar na over stedelijke landschappen. De onderste laag van dit werk bestaat uit dicht op elkaar gepakte, kleine, bric-à-brac huizen. In de bovenste laag zien we hoogbouw. De twee delen zijn opgebouwd uit diverse gevonden materialen. Daarmee creëerde Pfannenmüller twee totaal verschillende invullingen van een stad: sjofel en kleinschalig tegenover hoogbouw en grootschalig.

ENG – Pfannenmüller is fascinated by the way in which people create environments in which they feel safe. In his work, the artist reflects on urban landscapes. The bottom layer of this work consists of tightly packed, tiny, bric-à-brac houses. In the upper layer we see high-rise buildings. Both of these elements are made up of various found materials. In this way, Pfannenmüller creates two completely different interpretations of a city: the shabby and miniscule versus the high-rise and monumental.

FR - Pfannenmüller est fasciné par la manière dont l’homme crée des environnements où il se sent en sécurité. Dans son oeuvre, l’artiste réfléchit aux paysages urbains. La couche inférieure de cette oeuvre se compose de petites maisons de bric-à-brac, empilées les unes sur les autres. Nous voyons un gratte-ciel dans la couche supérieure. Les deux parties sont construites dans divers matériaux trouvés. Pfannenmüller a ainsi créé deux réalisations complètement différentes d’une ville: minable et de petites dimensions par rapport à un gratte-ciel de grandes dimensions.
