NL - Het werk Q for S.M.A.K: If Raphael werd gemaakt ter gelegenheid van HAPPENING 20 jaar S.M.A.K, een weekend in mei 2019 waarin verschillende performances, concerten, workshops en interventies werden georganiseerd. De kunstenaars reflecteren via dit werk over de toekomst van het museum, met behulp van vragen werd een proces van kritisch denken gestimuleerd. In de toenmalige performance stelde Apparatus 22 een vorm van museologie voor die verder gaat dan de westerse/eurocentrische wereld.
FR - L’œuvre Q for S.M.A.K: If Raphael a été réalisée à l’occasion du HAPPENING pour les 20 ans du S.M.A.K, un week-end de mai 2019 où des performances, concerts, workshops et interventions ont été organisés. À travers cette œuvre, les artistes développent une réflexion sur l’avenir du musée : un processus de réflexion critique stimulé à l’aide de questions. Dans la performance réalisée alors, Apparatus 22 a présenté une forme de muséologie qui va au-delà du monde occidental/eurocentré.
ENG - The work Q for S.M.A.K: If Raphael was created for HAPPENING: 20 years of S.M.A.K, a weekend of performances, concerts, workshops and interventions that was organised in May 2019. Through this artwork, the artists reflected on the future of the museum, using questions to stimulate a process of critical thinking. In their performance, Apparatus 22 proposed a form of museology that goes beyond the western/Eurocentric worldview.
