NL – Amédée Cortier koppelt in zijn werk idee, gevoel en geperfectioneerd vakmanschap aan elkaar. Hij hecht veel belang aan het gebruik van volle, glanzende, emotionele kleuren die zijn werk een vergeestelijkt effect geven. Aan kleurvlakken voegt hij kleine niveauverschillen toe, waardoor mede dankzij hun glans, het invallende licht sterker zichtbaar wordt. Op deze manier incorporeert Cortier ook de omgeving in zijn werk.
ENG – Amédée Cortier links idea, feeling and perfected craftsmanship in his work. He attaches great importance to the use of full, glossy, emotional colours that give his work a spiritualised effect. He adds small level differences to areas of colour, making the incident light more visible, partly thanks to their brilliance. In this way, Cortier also incorporates the surroundings in his work.
FR – Amédée Cortier lie dans son travail l'idée, le sentiment et l'artisanat perfectionné. Il attache une grande importance à l'utilisation de couleurs pleines, brillantes et émotionnelles qui donnent à son travail un effet spiritualisé. Il ajoute de petites différences de niveau aux zones de couleur, rendant la lumière incidente plus visible, en partie aussi grâce à leur brillance. De cette manière, Cortier intègre également l'environnement dans son travail.
