NL – Drie werken uit Dimitrijevic’ ‘Triptychos post historicus’-reeks maakte de kunstenaar voor S.M.A.K. Hij combineerde telkens een schilderij uit de verzameling van het Gentse MSK – respectievelijk van Frans Hals, Théodore Géricault en René Magritte – met groente of fruit en een gebruiksvoorwerp. In deze triptiek bracht de kunstenaar ‘Le faux assassin’ (1821) van Théodore Géricault samen met een reeks zwarte gleufhoeden van Natalie Duriat en appelen. Het concept van Dimitrijevic’ werken behoort tot de S.M.A.K.-collectie, maar omdat de drie schilderijen deel uitmaken van de verzameling van het MSK moet S.M.A.K. telkens een bruikleen aanvragen als het één van Dimitrijevic’ drie werken wil tonen.

Braco Dimitrijevic made three works from his Triptychos post historicus series especially for S.M.A.K. In each instance, he combined a painting in the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts (MSK) in Ghent – by Frans Hals, Théodore Géricault and René Magritte, respectively – with fruit or vegetables and an object. In this triptych, the artist united Le faux assassin (1821) by Théodore Géricault with a series of black trilby hats by Natalie Duriat and some apples. Dimitrijevic’s concept relates to the S.M.A.K. collection but the museum must request a loan from the MSK, as keepers of the original paintings, every time it wants to show one of the artist’s three works.

Trois œuvres de la série « Triptychos post historicus » de Dimitrijevic ont été créées par l'artiste pour le S.M.A.K. Dans chaque cas, il a combiné une peinture de la collection du MBA de Gand - de Frans Hals, Théodore Géricault et René Magritte, respectivement - avec des légumes ou des fruits et un objet usuel. Dans ce triptyque, l'artiste a associé « Le faux assassin » (1821) de Théodore Géricault à une série de chapeaux noirs fendus de Natalie Duriat et à des pommes. Le concept des œuvres de Dimitrijevic appartient à la collection du S.M.A.K., mais comme les trois tableaux font partie de la collection du MBA, le S.M.A.K. doit demander un prêt chaque fois qu'il souhaite exposer une des trois œuvres de Dimitrijevic.
