NL - Panamarenko toonde ‘Feltra’ samen met een andere vilten sculptuur ‘Molly Peters’ en met enkele geïmproviseerde, ondertussen vergane, happening-props op een tentoonstelling in de Wide White Space Gallery in Antwerpen. Beide sculpturen hingen er aan het plafond. Panamarenko liet zich inspireren door de afbeelding van een pin-up uit een Playboy-magazine. ‘Feltra’ is vernoemd naar het merk van het vilt waarmee de kunstenaar de zetel van piepschuim overtrok. Het werk maakt deel uit van de verzameling ‘stille’ of poëtische objecten binnen het oeuvre van de kunstenaar. Ze staan op zichzelf en ze zijn wat ze zijn.
ENG - Panamarenko presented Feltra together with the felt sculpture Molly Peters and a number of now lost, improvised happening-props at an exhibition in the Wide White Space Gallery in Antwerp. Both sculptures were suspended from the ceiling. Panamarenko was inspired by the picture of a pin-up from a Playboy magazine. Feltra is named after the brand of felt that the artist used to cover the Styrofoam seat. The work is part of the collection of 'silent' or poetic objects in the artist's oeuvre. They stand alone and they are what they are.
FR - Lors d’une exposition à la galerie Wide White Space à Anvers, Panamarenko a exposé Feltra avec une autre sculpture en feutre Molly Peters, ainsi que quelques accessoires improvisés de happening qui ont disparu depuis. Les deux sculptures étaient suspendues au plafond. Panamarenko s’est inspiré de l’image d’une pin-up d’un magazine Playboy. Feltra est le nom de la marque de feutre dont l’artiste a recouvert le fauteuil en polystyrène. L’œuvre fait partie de la collection d’objets « silencieux » ou poétiques du corpus d’œuvres de l’artiste. Elles sont autonomes et sont ce qu’elles sont.
